Getting Older And Hair Growing On Your Upper Lip? 2 Tips To Remove It

When a woman gets older, it is common to see more hair grow on the upper lip. This can be very difficult to control and can lower your self-esteem. Fortunately, you have different options to choose from when it comes to removing this hair. Below is information about two of these options so you can decide what would be best for you.

Use Laser Hair Removal

One of the best ways to get rid of this unwanted hair is to have laser hair removal. With this, the hair is permanently removed and will not grow back. This is because the laser removes the root of the hair. Laser hair removal is also quick, and you will have no downtime. You could get it done during your lunch hour from work and go straight back to work.

You will be asked to wear special glasses to protect your eyes from the laser. The doctor will use ice to numb your upper lip. They will then move the laser across the area where you have hair. You will have to have more than one treatment to completely remove all hair. How many treatments are needed will depend on how much hair there is.

Laser hair removal works on other parts of your body as well. For example, you can have hair removed from your chin, your legs, your arms, and more.

Use Hot Wax

Another option you have is using hot wax, and you can do this yourself at home. This is painful, however, but it does last a long time. To use this, you will apply the wax to your upper lip. You will then use a cloth strip to press down firmly. The strip sticks to the wax. You will then have to pull the cloth strip quickly from your upper lip. This will uproot all hairs, and you will have no hair on your lip when you are finished.

This works best if the hair is a little long, so make sure you have not shaved the hair recently when you use the wax. You can purchase the hot wax at a drug store, and it will come with complete instructions on how to properly use it. You will likely not see any hair regrow on your upper lip for several weeks after using the hot wax.

There are other options you have such as using creams, tweezers, or shavers.
